City teenager Sumeir Bhatia raises funds for buying charity footwear, 'The Festive Lane Exhibition' held
Sumeir said," Even though under the PM Cares scheme,
the government provided funds for children orphaned due to Covid-19, still a
lot needs to be done. Not only the government, but citizens should also help
those in need. My 'Helping Feet Initiative' aims at providing the
underprivileged children with proper footwear. A large number of poor children
still walk barefoot to their schools. This impacts them physically and
psychologically."
The Festive Lane (TFL) exhibition presented unique
collections of start-ups, handmade products and intricate embroidery based
designer wear from all over
Sumeir's initiative ‘The Helping Feet Initiative’ has been
supported by local businesses like Monica’s Puddings and Pies, Politician HS
Lucky, environment enthusiast Navraj Singh Gill, and Ananya Kapoor, a budding
golfer, among others. Sumeir had previously participated in a city-wide tree
drive and helped plant over 1500 trees. BW
